Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Where can I train with you?
A: We'll work out anywhere in LA! We also can train at several locations around town, including but not limited to:
*Your home
*Your place of work
*Outdoors, like parks, beaches, Runyan Canyon
*Hollywood Gym (1551 N La Brea, Hollywood, CA)
*Skylab (8500 Wilshire Penthouse, Beverly Hills)...as seen on Bravo's "Work Out"
*Sherman Oaks Gym (12215 Ventura Boulevard Suite 107, Sherman Oaks, CA)
*Easton Gym (1233 Third Street Promenade, Santa Monica, CA)
Q: Will it cost me anything to just meet you?
A: First meeting for consultation is free. Selecting a personal trainer is a big decision. You are entrusting your most precious asset (your body) to me, and I want you to feel comfortable that you are in good hands.
Q: Who is your typical client?
A: My clients run the gamut, from sedentary people who have never worked out, to fitness models who live and breathe fitness to even disabled clients. Whether you're a mom with 4 kids or an actor/model slimming down for a role, I cater to all my clients as individuals and create customized programs for each person. Everyone's body is different and everyone has a different work out program with me.
Q: Do you train couples?
A: Yes! I do pair training. It is a great way to stay motivated when you are working out with a friend or your partner.
Q: I exercise plenty, but food is my downfall. Help!
A: Help is here! A few strategies that have proven most effective with clients:
*You will keep a food diary for a few days. Be honest. Otherwise, you are only cheating yourself. We will discuss how your eating habits (what you eat and how often you eat) affect your body, mood and training.
*Personally do a walk-thru of your kitchen to assess your fridge. Analyze what is allowed to stay and what is contraband.
*Take a field trip with you to the grocery store. Suggest what alternate foods you can consume to achieve your fitness goal. It's about making smart food choices.
*During moments of food weakness, some clients text me "I'm at Krispy Kreme and about to scarf down a warm glazed doughnut!" I will drive to Krispy Kreme's and personally rip the doughnut from your hand. Well, that is not entirely true. However, I will text/call back accordingly to keep you focused.
Q: How did you get involved in Special Olympics?
A: I have a nephew who has Down Syndrome and another nephew who is deaf (fun fact: I know sign language). No matter how bad my life got in the past, they always kept me grounded. They are my heart.
Q: Do you have a list of past clients I can talk to?
A: Of course! I am more than happy to share my references with you. Just ask!
Q: I have a past injury. Can you work around that?
A: You bet. I played soccer professionally for 4 years. I know a thing or 2 about injuries! I even once had a wheelchair-bound client. I design modified programs to help you rehab without putting stress on the injury.
Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
A: Continuing what I am doing now (helping transform people's lives, encouraging & empowering them, etc) but on a much grander scale over the air waves. In 5 years, I would love to be the Ty Pennington of Personal Training & Fitness on TV.
Q: Why are you still single?
A: Haha! Good question. Dating in the City of Angels has been a bit of a challenge; it is not easy to find a quality gal. If you know of anyone, I am open to suggestions!
